THE LIBERTI COMMUNION IS A FAMILY OF CHURCHES MOBILIZED FOR EFFECTIVE MISSION AND MERCY MINISTRY

The local church, in its full robust expression, is the vehicle through which Jesus is redeeming the world.

A robust local church is always thinking far beyond its own walls. As people who have experienced God’s mercy through the work of Jesus, we seek to tangibly express that same mercy, compassion, and justice in both our local neighborhoods and around the world.

But Jesus’ mission is too overwhelming to pursue on our own. Isolation in relationships and in mission endangers the health and stifles the potential of local churches. Leaders burn out and turn over. Churches become myopic, inwardly focused, and ineffective.

The Liberti Communion of Churches is able to do far more together than we ever could apart.

Together we organize, train, and equip the people of our churches to use their gifts to serve those in need and share the good news of Jesus in both words and actions.

We also develop partnerships with both local and global organizations to leverage the impact even more. And sharing in the mutual blessing and encouragement of Jesus’ global church, we’re able to pursue holistic care and the transformation of communities around the world.

How We Do Local & Global Mercy Initiatives

  • Local Mercy Investment

    Opportunities abound to care for our neighbors. As our understanding of “neighbor” expands, so does our recognition of the need and furthermore our recognition of friends looking to live out the same love of Christ that compels us to act.

    We believe partnerships are most effective when they are grounded in mutual respect and encouragement because we don’t just love what our partners are doing in the Greater Philly Area, but we love them too!

    Together, we share in the work of loving our neighbors and share in the joy of seeing more accomplished when our efforts are unified.

  • Global Partnerships

    Some of the most profound experiences of God's provision and love have come to our leaders from trips overseas and interactions with other brothers and sisters of the faith working diligently to share the Good News. We carry our brothers and sisters with us in our hearts and we remember to pray for them often and the work that God is doing in and through them. In this, our partnerships overseas are more than financial; they are personal and they set the standard for how we wish to engage in future missions. It is our goal that the ties between our churches and missionaries or overseas partners is not held solely by our leaders but by our congregants, from where future missionaries and global leaders will emerge.

  • Youth Mission Trip

    Each summer churches of the Liberti Communion partner for a joint, regional youth missions trip. Leaders from our churches team up with leaders from partner churches, like our friends at Verity Outreach (a ministry partner in North Philadelphia). to share the ministry experience and wisdom of all our leaders across our youth groups.

    These trips include visiting multiple different ministries and nonprofits across the greater Philadelphia region, including the Salvation Army and long-term partner AlphaCare in West Philadelphia, a nonprofit that serves pregnant women and families by providing health and social services.
