We are excited to announce our second International Summer Team as a Communion of Churches!

eSwatini is a small country in South Africa, and it is one of the few remaining monarchies in the world. The country is almost the size of Rhode Island and has approximately 1.1 million people. Our partner ministry, Comfort for Africa, has been ministering in this country for the last sixteen years. During that time, a school has been built that now has 365 students and a well has been dug that provides water for the school and the surrounding area. There is also a ministry to the deaf population that encompasses sign language training, trauma counseling and training, the formation of a deaf church, and an ESL Village Program for deaf who are illiterate. Our teams provide mobile health clinics, food and clothing distribution, orphan outreach, building projects, and the development of a Liberti Communion of Churches in eSwatini and South Africa.

This year’s team will be leaving on Monday July 8th and returning on Monday July 22nd. The cost of the trip is $3,000. If you are interested in this trip, the registration deadline is Sunday April 7th, which will be followed by a first Team Meeting on Sunday April 14th from 5:00-7:30 with a pot luck dinner at the Julianis’. Registration requires a $100 deposit (to be brought to first team meeting). There is a possibility of a shorter 10 day trip for those who cannot do the whole two weeks. The dates for this trip would be leaving with the team on July 8th and returning to Newark on Wednesday July 17th .
