October Ministry Update

Emmanuel is back indoors!

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances,

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Thessalonians 5:16-18

First off, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I am so grateful to everyone who supports, prays, and labors with me and my family to serve the Philadelphia region. I would not be able to do this work without all of you! We are so thankful for your support. As in the words above, I understand that all this work is only possible because of what God has done for me in Jesus Christ. And for this, I am forever grateful. I can rejoice always, even if things seem overwhelming. And they do seem overwhelming at times. I also have to remember to pray without ceasing because I cannot do the work I do without Jesus.

What have I been doing?

A lot has happened in the last couple of months. I am still working hard to battle food insecurity and poverty across the region with Small Things. You should check out our program page to see how we are expanding with our new strategic direction to help people beyond food. We will be able to share more about these exciting new programs in the near future.

The Liberti Communion of Churches (formally Liberti Network) is going strong. We are working on a ton to help support current churches and establish new ones. Some very exciting stuff is happening with our internship program. Also, we are having our first international mission trip as well as our second local youth missions week. More information will be available about these updates soon!

Now onto Emmanuel, which is back indoors! After over two years of serving take-out meals, we have opened back up to indoor, sit-down service. It has been a long time coming, but now we have some great ways to serve weekly in Center City, as well as the annual Thanksgiving breakfast. You can sign up to serve right on the Small Things website. We still need some help.

Me and the girls doing what we love – going to the coffee shop!

How have I been doing? I am going to send out a more detailed family update in the next couple of weeks. Overall, we are doing well. Here are some prayer requests and a picture of my pride and joy, my girls.

Prayer Requests

  1. For Abrielle as she adjusts to full-day kindergarten, and Seraphina, as she goes twice a week to nursery school.

  2. Pray for my renewed energy, as I have been overwhelmed at times with balancing work and family life.

  3. Pray for continued financial support for my family and me.

Sincerely,

Rev. Vito Baldini
